In 2021, I graduated with a post-graduate diploma in art psychotherapy from the Canadian International Institute of Art Therapy (CiiAT), pivoting from my undergraduate studies in fine arts. I am now a professional member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association.
Finding a way to express yourself via colors, marks, patterns, or scribbles means that you are leaving your unique mark in this world. And the best part is that you don’t need to have any prior experience or skills in art-making — the process of art therapy is completely intuitive and adaptable to your needs.
Whether you’re looking to overcome anxiety, depression, or grief; manage stress or overwhelm; or simply tap into your inner creativity, art therapy is the perfect tool through which you can connect with your inner thoughts and emotions and actively re-build and strengthen the connections between the mind, body, and soul. I have worked with women struggling with anxiety, career instability, chronic Illness, chronic pain, depression, grief, infertility, prenatal and postpartum concerns, relationship issues, self esteem issues, trauma, and PTSD. I specialize in virtual telehealth therapy, and most of my clients are middle-aged women. I primarily work closely with immigrants, new moms, and women going through transitions in their lives.
My approach is humanistic, client-centered and culturally sensitive. My sessions are rooted in a safe, non-judgmental, trauma-informed approach that is holistic in nature.

I have been working as a professional support to a diverse scope of clients for several decades. Following completion of my master’s degree in counselling psychology, I completed training in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). I am currently completing a doctorate in behavioural sciences through California Southern University and provide outpatient counselling to teens, adults, and elderly individuals struggling with a wide variety of mental health issues within a hospital setting. I am well-versed in approaching therapy from a systems-based, trauma-informed perspective that recognizes the role of attachment not only in the context of development but also with respect to healing within a trusting and safe relationship.
My approach to empowering people is client-centred and is heavily influenced by relational therapy (RT), as well as psychodynamic, EMDR, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing (MI), and the Gottman Method for couples. I am presently working toward completion of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) certification program and am passionate about its use. Honouring the dignity of all human beings, I infuse my counselling with humour, humility, and genuine curiosity and respect for all persons. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and I particularly enjoy working with individuals living with borderline personality disorder. I have assisted many individuals within the LGBTQ2S+ community, with whom I am aligned and affirming. I will not only seek to know, understand, and celebrate the person you are as you journey together through the therapeutic process but will endeavour to ensure you feel safe, secure, and supported enough to do the same.
